Information update from Kent Woodside, Vice President and General Manager, CanJet Airlines (13:30 ADT)

April 21st, 2009, Halifax, NS – Crew from Flight 918 are being debriefed by CanJet staff and other officials.

All of the crew are physically well but very tired. Professional counseling services are available as well as other human resources support.

They are aware of the tremendous public interest in their story and appreciate the many messages of support they have received. But it is requested that their privacy and the privacy of their families is respected.

CanJet and all of its employees are proud of the professionalism and selflessness the crew displayed under extremely difficult circumstances. We are working with the crew members and all employees of the airline to move beyond this incident.

CanJet is continuing to cooperate with the authorities in Canada and Jamaica.

We are conducting our own internal review to ensure we continue to provide the safest and most secure air travel possible. Our day-to-day operations continue and we thank all of our employees for their hard work and professionalism.
