Infants, Children and Young Passengers Traveling Alone

Young passengers traveling alone (12 to 17 years)

Passengers between the age of 12 and 17 years old can travel alone as "Youth Passengers" with CanJet. We will make every effort to assist them for the duration of their journey with us. CanJet Airlines cannot be responsible for youth passengers at any time: if they travel alone, they must be able to do so unassisted.

Subject to other requirements in this section, an infant over seven (7) days and under two (2) years of age, not occupying a seat, may accompany, free of charge, an adult. A birth certificate will be required to validate the age of all infants under age two as well as photo identification of the legal parents or guardians.

  • Note: Infants under seven (7) days will be accepted upon medical authorization from a physician.
  • Youths twelve (12) to seventeen (17) years of age may travel by themselves.
  • Young Adults – eighteen (18) years of age or older can travel by themselves.

Children’s Activities (2 to 11 years old)

On most flights from Canada, your child will receive an activity book containing games, a few stickers, and beach ball all in a special bag to keep (while quantities last). It will be handed out by a flight attendant onboard during your flight. This is just another way to make their journey more enjoyable!
