Fragile or perishable articles, including medication or medical devices, money, jewellery, silverware, electronics, laptop computers, personal audio/video devices, negotiable documents, securities, samples of business documents or other valuables (other than articles of clothing) shall not be accepted as checked baggage. Any such items declared or found in checked baggage shall be subject to removal prior to the baggage in question being accepted for carriage by the Carrier.
The Carrier shall not be liable for damage to fragile, valuable or perishable items where such damage is the result of the inherent defect, quality or vice of the item in question. Unsuitably or inadequately packed items will be accepted at the Carrier’s discretion and, where accepted, compensation may be denied as a result of the afore-mentioned factors. The Carrier assumes no liability for the delay in delivery of any perishable items accepted as checked baggage unless it has failed to take all reasonable measures to avoid such delay.

| Please be advised that CanJet is a non - Dangerous Good certified airline; therefore no ammunition can be carried in either checking or carry-on baggage. Firearms of any description on any of CanJet’s flights for sporting purposes will be carried as checked baggage provided required entry permits are in the possession of the passenger for the country of destination and provided that such firearms are checked at the cargo area and are properly packaged in a locked box with trigger locks. |

The child must remain properly secured in the seat at all times when the aircraft seat belt sign is illuminated during the journey. Child restraint devices cannot be used in an exit row or in a seat that would impede access to an aisle or to emergency/safety equipment. Snugglies and booster seats are not permitted to be used as restraining devices on board CanJet. There are safety restrictions and criteria that a CRS must meet in order to be approved for travel inside the aircraft cabin. Please note the following Canadian Manufactured Devices (CMD) Must indicate compliance with either CMVSS 213 or 213.1; and Indicate the date of manufacture as being after January 1, 1981. American Manufactured Devices (AMD) Made between January 1, 1981 - February 1985; and Bear Label "This child restraint system conforms to all applicable FMVSS". OR Made on or after February 26, 1985; Bear Label "This child restraint system conforms to all applicable FMVSS"; and Bear Label "This restraint is certified for use in motor vehicles and aircraft". Additional CRS Restrictions Car seats (no wider than 15.5 in or 40 cm) may be used on CanJet Airlines’ flights. Forward facing - restricted to an occupant between 20 and 40 lb. A person over the age of two may occupy an approved CRS provided the weight/height capacities are not exceeded. Instructions for the proper use of the device and its weight and height capacities must also be prominently displayed on the device. The weight and height of the person using the child restraint system must be within the system's stated range. CARES™ device is a Child Restraint System that is currently permitted onboard. Conditions of Use: The CARESTM device and the child using the CARESTM device shall be accompanied by a parent or guardian who will attend to the safety of the child during flight. This device is designed specifically for aviation use for children age 1 to 4 weighing between 22 and 44 lb (10-20 kg) and whose height is 100 cm (40 in) or less. The device shall be used within the limitations specified by the manufacturer found on the CARESTM device; and The CARESTM device shall bear a legible label indicating the applicable design and approval standards. |
